• 本單元的大多數職位需要具有與下述資質和經驗相當的技術層次。Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with the
qualifications and experience outlined below
• 在澳洲:AQF證書3級,包括至少2年的在職培訓或AQF證書IV級(ANZSCO技術3 級)In Australia: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on- the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
• 在新西蘭:NNZ資格證4級(ANZSCO技術3級)In New Zealand: NZ Register Level 4 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
• 至少3年的工作經驗可以代替上述的資格證。At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
listed above.
• 有時除了資格證外,還需要相關的工作經驗和/或在職培訓。In some instances relevant experience and /or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification
• 主廚、速食廚師和廚房幫工不在此組內。Chefs, Fast Food Cooks and Kitchenhands are excluded from this unit group

• 檢查糧食,確保質量。examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• 調節烤箱、烤架和其它炊具的溫度。regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• 準備和烹調食物。preparing and cooking food
• 對食物調味。seasoning food during cooking
• 分配食物,放置盤中,并加入肉汁、醬汁和裝飾品。portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• 將食物儲存在控溫設備中。storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• 準備滿足特定要求的食物。preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• 可能要設計菜單和估計食物要求。may plan menus and estimate food requirements
• 可能要培訓其他的廚工和學徒。may train other kitchen staff and apprentices
